This stage of the Whole30 is supposed to start being all sunshine and rainbows.. and honestly, as much as I’ve love to tell you otherwise, it’s not quite there yet. The past couple days, I have just felt “off.” My belly is not happy about something and since I’ve eliminated all of the supposed gut irritants (dairy, soy, grains, sugar in any form other than fruit, anything out of a package or box), I really can’t pinpoint what is going on.
This is also the point in the program that people claim to wake up before the alarm clock and are full of energy. I have been sleeping really well and getting 8-9 hours a night, but it’s still, *alarm*, *snooze*, *alarm*, *snooze*. I’m still pretty sleepy until I have my morning coffee at work, still struggling to focus at work sometimes (may not be related to the food though!), still struggling with the workouts, and still quite ready to be in bed at 10:00.. I don’t plan on quitting before the whole 30 days are up, but I’m not quite sure if I had enough of a negative baseline to start with to have some major noticeable results. Only 12 more days left.. time will tell!
Back on the blogging front, as I mentioned earlier this week, I am officially a Girls Gone Sporty Ambassador!
What is “Girls Gone Sporty,” you ask? From their website,
Girls Gone Sporty – Helping you “Live the Sporty Life!”What is the “sporty life”? It’s more than just fitness and nutrition; it’s an attitude that’s focused on embracing fun and adventure. The sporty woman says, “I can do anything I put my mind to, I just need the resources to do it.” That’s where Girls Gone Sporty comes in. Owned and operated by Laura Williams, a self-proclaimed “sporty girl” and her husband Lance Williams (an equally sporty guy), Girls Gone Sporty is dedicated to sharing the top products, trends and ideas for advancing the fit and adventurous lifestyle. What you can expect to find on GirlsGoneSporty:
- Fitness – the latest fitness trends and workout plans
- Fashion – the hottest/best fitness-related fashion on the market…and “just for fun” fashion, too!
- Beauty – tips and tricks for maximizing your beauty, even when you’re active
- Nutrition – the best ways to fuel your body to support your sporty lifestyle
- Technology/Gear – staying ahead of the game when gearing up for your next fitness goal
- Lifestyle – travel, adventure, women’s health, relationships – pretty much everything!
- Interviews/Profiles – exclusive interviews with some of the most inspiring and fun “sporty” athletes and experts
I was very excited to be chosen, as it is marketed as being “exclusive” and just because you are an ambassador today does not guarantee that you will be one next year. It also is a great opportunity to network with other girls that are dedicated to health and fitness! I now have tons of inspiration and have another great support group for my health, fitness, and blogging goals. If any of the above sounds like something you’d be interested in, I encourage you to apply!
I mentioned it before, but now that I am part of another amazing blogging network, it has given me even more incentive to clean up my blog and post more relevant, readable content! My next plan of action is to start posting weekly spotlights of real lady lifters of all fitness levels and backgrounds to encourage more ladies to lift. I try to share my knowledge as much as I can, but it will be nice to get a different perspective once in a while (by the way.. if you missed my guest post on Nicole’s blog on why you should be lifting, take a minute to check it out!).
Second plan for the blog is to work on my weekly vlogging! Expect one coming up later this week!
Have you made any major changes on your blog lately to attract more users? What kind of tips do you have for new bloggers to get more involved in the blogging networks?
